International Stars on Local Stages; hosted an Opera gala featuring renowned soprano Pumeza Matshikiza, who delivered 15 Lieder and bravura arias in the historic Rand Club ballroom.
The evening ended with standing ovations, reaffirming Sitt Opera’s ability to attract top-tier talent.

July 2024 saw the return of the much loved Christmas in July event at the Rand Club, where members and guests enjoyed festive music.
Performances by Sibusiso Simelane (Lyric Tenor) and Marion Pillay (Piano) showcased the organisation’s dedication to creating memorable and cultural moments.
Showcasing Rising Voices
In July 2025, Durban-born Soprano Asanda Ntuli captivated audiences in her debut concert, “A Flourishing Voice.” The event highlighted Sitt Opera’s primary mission to develop and support the next generation of operatic talent.
Empowering Heritage Through Music
recent projects include “Nominis Locis Dignis” – “Worthy of the Name” – by Lyric Soprano Sasa Yende, a celebrated member of South Africa’s operatic elite, featured on The 10 South African Sopranos. This recital underscored Sitt Opera’s role in uplifting local talent and honoring South Africa’s rich cultural heritage.
